Clinical Supervision Services

Supervision with Lori Derr, LCSW, RPT, ACS, RYT

I offer clinical supervision for graduate-level social work students, pre-licensed clinicians, and licensed professionals seeking consultation. My supervision practice is grounded in the belief that thoughtful, supportive supervision is essential for ethical, confident, and sustainable clinical work.

My goal as your supervisor is to help you develop into the type of social worker you want to be. Supervision is a collaborative process where we focus on building clinical competence, strengthening professional identity, and supporting your growth both personally and professionally.

My Supervision Philosophy

I believe supervision should be a space where you feel supported, challenged, and encouraged. My approach is authentic, laid back, and relational. I value creating a safe and trusting environment where you can ask questions, explore uncertainty, and engage in honest reflection without fear of judgment.

I am interested not only in your clinical work, but also in who you are as a person. I want to understand what drew you to the field of social work, what inspires you, and what goals you hold for your future. I value the knowledge, skills, and lived experience you already bring and will encourage you to build on your strengths while identifying areas for continued growth.

Supervision with me is collaborative, strengths-based, and grounded in ethical and evidence-informed practice. Together, we will work to help you feel confident in your clinical skills, prepared for licensure, and supported in developing a sustainable work–life balance.
